Owl season comes to an end

On Wednesday me and Andy set out to check the last of the Barn Owl Boxes.

We have had pairs at 6 sites with 10 adults processed and three successful broods of 4 chicks ringed, one pair failed, 1 pair didn't lay and another is nesting in a site we haven't found yet ie not our boxes. We also have birds at another site but they re not in boxes either and we have breeding in a farm which we cant get access to.
So far this year we have ringed 13 LEOs

A successful year with hopefully numbers building all the time.
