Port Lawaigue a small bay just down from Ramsey with some nice scrub and willows and gorse.

1 Coal Tit retrap rang in my garden in august last year.
Andy and Ian were out this weekend checking the Tawny Boxes for this year.
4 pairs of Tawnys today in boxes. They will check a few of them again in a week or two 3 pairs of goosanders in boxes so far - one a retrap from two years ago at leathley (bred last year in a box at swinsty). one of the Tawnys was ringed in the same box last year. also Petes up to 7 Tawnys, with Kites and Buzzard nest as well.

Coots Kane has been colour ringing are turning up all over another one was spotted by Ian Court at Skipton Sewage works.

Kane tells me i ringed this one at Southport back in January this year a distance of 73 KM and 87 days ago.
A great Project
Things still a bit hectic with the house but we are almost finished now. Weather the last week has been windy but today i caught the first Herring Gull of 2010 in my garden and have started putting Darvic rings on the left leg with the BTO on the right.
