Last Week

Another steady week with more Greenfinch caught then anything else. Bullfinches at Stainland this week with some more Long Tail Tits and Chaffinch. This Morning at Egp with a few more Tits ringed at the feeding station bringing the totals since December to 141 Blue Tits, 61 Gt Tits and 12 Coal Tits and still they come.

Nice Surprise on Wednesday set a 2 shelve net up for Wagtails at Clifton and got a Stonechat never had them up there before, maybe the snow has moved them of the moors as i have not seen any for a while at there usual sites.

Clifton

A nice day at Clifton today with over 300 Pink Footed Geese flying over, 1 decided to have a rest and landed in the fields opposite where i ring.

Over 30 Birds ringed today mainly Greenfinch and Chaffinch with Tree Sparrow and a small flock of Long Tailed Tits. Also an Interesting Dunnock with a completely pale lower mandible and 2 primaries all white and some primary coverts.

How it should look

Fox walked by, Rooks not that bothered
