Bichon Puppies For Sale, Things To Know Before Buying One

By Raymond Carter

Lovable and cute are the adjectives people attach to puppies. They really find them adorable, especially dog lovers. The puppies create feelings inside them that drive their desire to adopt or somehow be a foster owner to one of them. It is costly, yes, but so does every other commodity in life. There are shops and online sites that have bichon puppies for sale.

Bichon frise is a breed of dogs who has white poufy fur standing out. They are generally small in size, not even standing more than one foot. They are naturally good companions to have with their quirky personality and jolly disposition. They sometimes are even mistaken as poodles.

Their breed sheds little to no fur. Thus, many are dubbing them as hypoallergenic. People with allergies are dying to have them due to this reason. However, they still need the go signal from their doctor and to spend time in the presence of the dog before making any permanent decisions.

Speaking of commitment, your puppies are in constant need of your attention. They want to socialize and spend time with you and your family. They can adjust well to being left alone when socializing with other dogs and playmates outside.

But, you have to keep in mind to not let them be alone for longer than is necessary. Their breed is known to suffer from separation anxiety. Always be there with them. When you work and have other appointments, leave them with a neighbor or a friend. Better yet, come home sooner. If you cannot commit to this, then it is better not to have one of this breed.

These fluffy dogs are always active. You can always see them run around and play in or out of the house. You never need to worry about their daily exercise requirement. They have the characteristics of being a social butterfly. They love to meet new friends and people. They treat strangers they meet with the same temperament they show their owners.

Nutrition is important. High quality food is more appropriate for them. If you prefer to make the food yourself, ask your veterinarian on how to properly prepare their food and food portions so they can get balanced nutrition. Regulate their diet as well because they are prone to overweight due to their small size.

Speak with your veterinarian as well in regards to their health. They sometimes get sick like humans and at times, they are prone to more serious diseases. It is important that you know the health risks that their breed is usually prone to. Allergies, juvenile cataracts, bladder infections, patellar luxation, and vaccination sensitivity are some of the issues they may encounter.

It is necessary to groom them. Keep it regular and on a schedule. At least once a month, you will bathe them. Clip their nails so you do not get scratched regularly. Their fur needs to be brushed at least twice or thrice in a week but it is better to do it every day. You do not need to go to grooming centers to do all these. You just need to show your pet how and they will learn eventually that these are part of their grooming ritual.
