Importance Of Military Working Dogs

These pets are always there for soldiers no matter the situation because they are trained and have to stick with their commanders during happy and sad times. Therefore, military working dogs are not ordinary pets since they understand the moods of their counterparts and know the best time to react and work.

They are considered more than just a family member and wake you up every morning to get to work and will be waiting for you with a smile when coming back from work. Therefore they are very intelligent knowing the tine you are supposed to start your day and the best time to wait for you in the evening or in the morning if working at night.

After the World War II, they started to be recruited and trained to make sure they understand the human nature and that they could help in winning any kind of war. Therefore, the army started requesting the people to donate their dogs to them so they can make them soldiers and help retain peace in the area.

During the world war II when the pearl harbor was attacked, the army started to encourage the people who were leaving within the area to donate their dogs to them so they can train them and make them part of their team. The first group which was referred to as the K-9 corps took about 12 weeks to be trained.

Therefore, they were named K-9 corps which was able to make sure they handled their tasks as required and able to achieve their targets accordingly. They could make responses to their counterparts and deliver a message from another person. They also understood the routes within the camp hence able to guard it within the boundaries.

Others were trains to become sniff dogs for booby traps during the war therefore making them useful in knowing the places in which the enemy has set them accordingly. However they helped in winning the fight and ending it for good. The training was massive and become a success afterwards. Till today, the task is still set and professionals are employed to carry out the training for police dogs.

There were others which were trained in sensing the enemy and they could alert the soldiers in the cam. This is where set to keep security since assigned different locations around the camp to make sure there was no one from the outside who could enter the base without them soldiers knowing. Some of them were also trained to become mine detectors so they would alert their counterparts when they reach to a mine field.

As the day passes, there are different varieties that have been made since them and they all serve different purposes in our day today lives and operations. This makes it easy for the army to track anything and anyone they want no matter the place you are hiding. Some are also being offered to the police so they can help in curbing crimes in their areas of work.
