Last week update




47 New Linnets ringed in the last few days also 3 Twite seen 1 Twite Ringed and a Controlled Twite wearing colour rings from Askam in Furness. I have not seen a Twite since January 10 at the feeding site
so these birds might now be moving back north to breed in Scotland.

This bird was first ringed in Askam in Furness on the 11/11/2011
They have caught one of our colour ringed Twite now we have caught one of theirs.

128 new Linnets ringed in 2012

A spot of ringing at Port Lewaigue last week was quite but did manage 2 new Chiffchaff

also the first chicks of 2012 were ringed, 2 Collard Dove.

Me and Kev are going to try and catch as many Wheatear this spring as we can and another 3 were ringed.There hasn't been a big fall of Wheatear as yet here's hoping the spot of high pressure we had the last to weeks hasn't pushed the birds straight on over us
