France and England have long histories with the French bulldog. England is responsible for developing the breed while France actively participated in popularizing it worldwide. Lacemakers from England introduced the breed in France where it became very popular and populous. As its number and popularity grew in France, the opposite happened in England. Eventually, the breed was branded with the frenchie moniker. Lacemakers who introduced the breed in France were after jobs. The French Revolution attracted lacemakers and they carried their dogs together with other belongings.

Frenchies are quite a rare breed. That means that in order to be able to bring one home, one has to wait for some time on a waiting list before they get a chance. As such, when in need of a French Bulldog Missouri is a good location to check out. There are many breeders in Missouri who breed high-quality frenchies and sell them to members of the public at affordable costs.

The French bulldog was once a ratter and a watchdog, but its use has changed significantly over the years. Currently, they are only used as show dogs and house pets. They were first used as show dogs in England when their French owners brought them to the competitions. At that time, their owners referred to them as frenchies, something that did not please the Englishmen. Englishmen were not happy with the French moniker the dog had been given, even though it originated from England.

Frenchies have very low exercise requirements. A daily walk is sufficient as opposed to several hours of rigorous exercise like is the case with other breeds. Their energy levels are very low. They need to be walked everyday so as to help maintain proper body weight. Releasing them into the backyard can help to avoid walking them daily.

Heat exhausting is a major problem in this breed. That means that the dog should not be exercised in hot temperatures. Active play and walks should only be conducted when the weather is cool, preferably in the mornings and evenings. Their high level of intelligence can make them quite stubborn during training. Training can be done through various training techniques. If one method fails to achieve the required results, another method can always be tried.

One can achieve better results if they make the training to resemble a game with a lot of fun. Rewards should also be given regularly. Puppies should be crate trained. Even if the dog will later be allowed to roam freely in the home, it should be crate trained when still young. Puppies are often playful and can damage equipment and the house if not crate trained.

One should provide two meals for the dog every day. An average dog will do well on 1-1.5 cups of food. The food provided should be dry and of high quality. Certain factors may determine how much food a dog can eat in a day. These factors include level of activity, metabolism, size, age, and build.

Dogs are individual in their needs just like human beings. For that reason, it is recommendable to have the care provided customized for each dog. Making a frechie a great pet should start while it is still young with proper training and socializing.
