Dolls aren't just for little girls. They are a favorite of many grown women, who collect them for display. These dolls need to be dressed beautifully for being on display. There are many porcelain doll patterns to be able to dress these dolls with any theme or to represent any period in history, from early vintage designs to more modern clothing represented very elegant dresses. Most have floor length dresses, but they can have shorter dresses with pantaloons or stockings.

These dolls for dressing may be new or used, designed for a particular period or theme fitting their collections. They may also be extra outfits for a young girl who plays with them. Older girls are more responsible in being able to play and care for these dolls. They can spend hours in playing dress up with their dolls.
