Having a pet is not anymore new in our society. As a matter of fact pets are even required by experts to people who live alone. Not only that it can give them company but it also gives the person light and happiness somehow. Indeed, dogs nowadays, or even before, are considered as a friend of people. Sad to say but in some countries such are being slaughtered for food and some even do that without any reason. Just recently, somewhere in Asia, a festival was held where they slaughter dogs, pet or stray.
However, even those who acquired proper and high education seem to forget the value of these creatures. Or maybe they just do not have any respect towards them. Dogs may not be perfect, so to speak, but I am pretty sure that as long as we get connected with them, love will be formed and such will give you the care and attention nobody else can give.
Luckily, there are people who chose to fight for their rights. They are actually conducting activities to show the society about their inherent rights that must be protected. They also initiate necessary steps so that the legislators to enact and enforce laws for their sake. We have to thank them because if of not because of them, maltreatment and abuse will still continue for sure.
One may say that it is too much to give them an extra ordinary attention when they are only a lowly animal not capable of feeling the same as humans. I would like to apologize, but I have to disagree to that statement. They may lack the intelligence but they are actually rich when it comes to feelings. As a matter of fact, the fiercest of animals was able to befriend a man.
They may be just animals, and clearly they do not have similar intelligence as humans, but we seem to forget that humans are also a species of mammals. Lucky for us because we were given skills, potentials and level of thinking that are way higher than other species. For this reason, we are actually the one entrusted with the caring and maintaining the others who are lower than us.
They are so lovable and cute, especially when you groom their hairs and clean them regularly. Unfortunately, the bad side of having them is the cost. They require so much attention that even their foods are more expensive than that of humans. Their health is also more sensitive than humans.
